Linval Arvilda Westman, 88, of Cambridge, formerly of Lexington, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016, at home surround by loved ones.
She was born February 7, 1928 in Long Lake, MN to Linval and Vernetta (Roline) Nehrbass. Linval grew up in the Long Lake area and attended Mound High School. They made their home in South Minneapolis and their first three children were born. After living there for five years, they bought a home in Lexington and five more children were born. Glen worked at REA Express and Linval worked for a time in housekeeping, but mainly stayed home to raise their eight children. She later cared for many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. After 53 years in Lexington, Linval and Glen bought a home in Walbo in December 2003.
Linval was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Circle Pines, and was active in TOPS. She enjoyed reading, and especially enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren, always wanting to be at home with family.
