Doris Elvera Nystrom, 83, of Cambridge passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at her home.
She was born in Cambridge, Minn. on Feb. 28, 1930 to John and Erma (Hanson) Nystrom. While growing up in Cambridge she attended West Riverside School. Later she moved to Minneapolis where she lived for several years and worked as a waitress at Café di Napoli for over 20 years.
In 1981, Doris moved back to Cambridge to the home where she grew up in. Through the years she babysat and enjoyed taking care of children.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Erma Nystrom; sister Pearl Gustavson; brothers John Nystrom and Earl Nystrom.
Doris is survived by her sister Joyce Becklin of Cambridge; nephew Doug (Colleen) Becklin of Cambridge; nieces Kari (Brad) Olson of Isanti, and Heidi Gustavson of Burnsville.
Interment will be in the Rice Lake Cemetery in Braham at a later date. Arrangements are with the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cambridge.
