Mercy S. Lovelace

ob_LovelaceMercy S. Lovelace, 47, of Stanchfield, died May 2, 2013 at home.

Mercy Sharon Lovelace was born Sept. 20, 1965 in Hastings, Minn. to Gordon and Sharon (Dockham) Lovelace. She attended school in the Cambridge-Isanti district. Mercy worked for many years at Industries Inc., in Cambridge she also participated in the Special Olympics as well as in many “We Are Able” activities. Mercy enjoyed bowling, softball, and crafts. She also greatly enjoyed her annual trip to Camp Friendship.  Special thanks to Grandma Norma for all the cookies over the years.

Mercy will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Sharon (Dennis) Strelow of Stanchfield; sister, Gail Barnes of Isanti; niece, Courtney and nephews, Kyle and Brayden of Isanti; step-brothers, Loren (Cindy) Strelow of St. Louis, Missouri, Mark (Judy) Strelow of St. Paul, and Mike Strelow of Mora; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon, and grandparents, Ruth and Rolland Dockham.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 6 at Stanchfield Baptist Church with Pastor Dale Cope and Pastor Harvey Martin officiating.  Hannah Whittaker served as soloist, Heather Schroeder as pianist, and Nadette Waligora as organist. Honorary pallbearers were Gerald Schroeder, Brayden Barnes, Kyle Barnes and Walter Hallan. Pallbearers were Bob Wey, Bob Enga, Sue Deluney, Duane Nelson, Bruce Yurich and Owen Kopp. Interment was in Stanchfield Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel.
