Sally Blake

Sally Blake, age 49, of Isanti died May 28, 2014 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Sally Ann Blake was born January 5, 1965 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Robert and Katherine (Unkovich) Oquist. Sally was raised in Shoreview and attended Mounds View High School. She attended college in Phoenix, Arizona and took classes in warehousing and supply. Sally made her home in Isanti until just recently moving to Cambridge. She operated Blake Excavating and Backfill in Isanti and later she worked for Tenant Manufacturing in Golden Valley. Sally enjoyed fishing with her dog Floyd. She also enjoyed going out to eat, working in her large garden and helping her mother make pickles and pickled beets. Sally was also an avid Vikings fan.
Sally is survived by her mother, Kayti Tersteeg of Cambridge; two brothers, Robert Oquist (Denise and Ethan) and Bobby Oquist of Blaine, John (Pam) Oquist of Blaine; two sisters, Tammie Lee and Carrie Oquist of Circle Pines; and many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Strike Funeral Home Isanti Chapel with Rev. Jim Crecelius officiating.
