Doris L. Lund, 97, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at GracePointe Commons in Cambridge, MN.
She was born on September 10, 1916 to Claus and Lydia Lund in Springvale Township. She attended grade school and graduated from Cambridge High School. She went to Bemidji State Teacher Collage. She taught country school in Isanti County, Spring Lake, Braham, Walbo, and Pine Brook.
On June 30, 1944 she married Irving Lund and they made their home in St. Paul, MN. She worked for Western Electric in St. Paul and for St. Paul Public Schools. She retired from St. Paul Schools in 1980.
Irving passed away on August 1, 1980 and Doris continues to live in St. Paul until March 2004. She broke her leg and moved to Grandview Christian Home on March 16, 2004.
Doris was baptized at Dalbo Baptist Church and joined Springvale Baptist church. She taught Sunday school there while she was teaching in the schools in Isanti County. She joined a Baptist church in St. Paul and when she moved to Grandview she transferred her membership to Springvale.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Irving; her parents, Claus and Lydia and a brother, Robert Lund.
She is survived by her brother Dean and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Monday, July 7, 2014 at Springvale Baptist Church with visitation an hour prior to the service.
