Wallace Lee Norberg

NorbergWallace Lee Norberg, 69, of Smithville, Ga., formerly of Cambridge, Minn., died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Georgia.

A native of Cambridge, Minn., he was born July 18, 1943. He was the son of the late Andrew Severin and Anna W. (Oman) Norberg. Mr. Norberg was of the Pentecostal faith and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Martin D. Norberg, and Gladys E. Corrier.  Survivors include two brothers, William James Norberg of Cambridge, Minn. and Kenneth S. Norberg of Smithville, Ga.; two sisters, Louise Ann Polzin of Duluth, Minn. and LaVonne Eloise Anderson of Cambridge, Minn.; and also a number of nieces and nephews and other loved ones.

Services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Dr. Mike Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 221 S. Lee St., Americus, GA  31709. Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel was in charge of these arrangements.
