Corky was born on July 14, 1933, in St. Paul, MN, the only child of Fred and Frances Hagers. She grew up in St. Paul, attended grade school at St. Matthews, graduated from St. Joseph’s Girls Academy in 1951 and graduated from St. Catherine’s College as a registered Occupational Therapist. She was the Director of the OT department at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN. On August 9, 1969, she married Duane “Duke” Peterson and moved to Maple Ridge Township.
Corky was an active member of Siloa Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary and served on the Braham School Board for 14 years.
She enjoyed many activities including bowling, snowmobiling, sewing, quilting and spending time with family.
Corky was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Duke; her children, Sharon (Tom) Lynch of Mora, Greg (Tina) Massey of Fridley, Chris (Bill) Dahlquist of Cambridge, Nicole (Tim) Laman of Stanchfield and Rachel Peterson of Maple Ridge Township; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters in-law; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Siloa Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Olson Officiating. Music was provided by Judy Windorski. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Siloa Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham. Condolences may be posted at www.aifuneralhome.com
