Clayton “Bud” Edling of Isle died on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. He was 81 years old.
Bud was born on January 3, 1934 in Crown, MN to Albert and Dorothy (Wadtke) Edling. He married the love of his life, Carol Hinz, on November 21, 1953. He was an avid garden farmer and loved to hunt and fish. He also owned Isanti Sport Shop for many years after selling their home in Crown, MN. He and his wife Carol retired to Isle, MN where he was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Clayton is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Dorothy and his sister Beverly Clayson.
He is survived by his wife Carol of Isle; his son Rick Edling of Zimmerman; his granddaughter Kaily Edling who is graduating from Moorhead College in the spring; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Isle with Rev. Mark Maunula officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Casketbearers are Nathan Horsch, Wayne Stanius, Dan Hatch, Allen DeMars, Jordan DeMars and Terry Howg. Burial will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Elk River.
