Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother
Sharon Mae (Nelson) Lundin, age 71 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on June 27, 2015 at GracePointe Crossing.
Sharon was born November 19, 1943 to Carl and Evelyn Nelson. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Spring Lake Lutheran church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, LeRoy and Ralph and her daughter, Julie.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Walter; daughter Susan Lundin of Phoenix, AZ; son-in-law Ben Borja of Georgia; grandchildren Benjamin (Marissa) Borja of Tennessee, Suzanne (Cory) Hart of North Carolina, Rhende (Matthew) Ward of Ohio; great-grandchildren Juliet, Harper, Bennett and Evelyn.
Also survived by her brothers, John (Lynn) Nelson of Andover, MN, Paul Nelson of East Rural Cambridge, Jim (Cathy) Nelson of East Rural Cambridge; sisters, JoAnn (Louie) Leajgeld of St. Peter, MN, Maureen (Dave) Anderson of Renville, MN, sister-in-law Cathy Nelson and her special friend Roger Cheez of Spectacle Lake, MN and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Sharon was a 1961 graduate of Cambridge High School. Aside from being a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother, she had worked for Northwestern Bank, Control Data, Spring Lake Products and Cambridge Metals & Plastics. She was raised a farm girl, gaining her hard work ethic from milking cows and doing farm chores with her dad and brothers and also learning her fabulous cooking and gardening skill from her mom. Her true joys were getting her family and friends together for mouthwatering meal on holidays, events or just to spend time together.
A celebration of her life will be held on July 2, 2015 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home, 311 S. Ashland St. S. at 2 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
