Patricia J. Ramstad

Patricia J. Ramstad, age 84, of Cambridge and formerly of St. Francis, died November 7, 2015 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East.
Patricia Jean Ramstad was born September 5, 1931 in Cokato, Minnesota to George and Gladys (Johnson) Anderson. She was raised and attended school in Drayton, North Dakota. On June 24, 1948 she was united in marriage to Rudolph Ramstad at Teien Lutheran Church in Drayton, North Dakota. They lived in Drayton for two years, then they moved to Mpls, MN and then to Bloomington, MN, finally relocating to St. Francis, MN in 1966 where they lived for 40 years. Patricia also lived in Mora, MN, Zimmerman, MN, Riverhills Assisted Living, Cambridge, MN.
Patricia worked as head cook at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for 27 years, retiring at age 70. She was an excellent cook and was known especially for her “monster cookies.” She was an active member of Long Lake Lutheran Church in Isanti and served as a greeter and helped in the kitchen. Patricia loved rummage sales, clothes shopping, and she enjoyed being a Red Hat Lady and bought many red hats and outfits to match, she was an avid NASCAR fan. Most of all she enjoyed being a Mom and Grandma.
She will be lovingly remembered by her six children, Georgia (Harvey) Peterson of Mora, Richard Ramstad of Zimmerman, Cheryl (Kirk) Gordon of Stanchfield, Roger Ramstad of Zimmerman, Kristen Ramstad of Zimmerman, and Robert Ramstad of East Bethel; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and by many other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph in 2007; three granddaughters, Theresa Peterson and Janet and Jeanne Ramstad; and sister, Sondra Linville.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 14th at Long Lake Lutheran Church in Isanti. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Long Lake Community Cemetery. Online condolences available at strikefuneral.com.
