Jeremy Cupit, age 44, died in his sleep of natural causes on March 12, 2016 while on a skiing trip in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Jeremy was born in Carbondale, Illinois on April 21, 1971, and grew up in rural Harris, Minnesota. He attended Rush City schools, graduating in 1989, and moved to Manitou Springs, Colorado at age 20. Jeremy developed an unforeseen talent with computers while working at a Kinko’s and graduated in computer science from University of Colorado. He worked at several software development firms and taught part-time at a community college before beginning his current 12 year career as senior web developer for Wells Fargo Bank.
He is survived by his son Connor 17, daughter Chloe 13, sister Statia and her son Logan, all of Manitou Springs, father Bob and stepmother Gayle of rural Harris. Statia will become guardian and remain in Manitou Springs.
He was an avid outdoors, sports, and social guy, enthusiastic about skiing, hockey, hunting, biking, craft beer, and the best garage parties.
A memorial service was held in Manitou Springs, Colorado on March 17. No further services are planned
