Loving Husband, Father, Grandpa and Great Grandpa
Carroll “Buzz” Paul Demmon, a resident of Isanti County, passed away May 1, 2016 at Mercy Hospital at the age of 74.Funeral service will be held May 6, 2016 at Country Roads Church of Stacy.
Buzz was born April 1, 1942 in Staples, Minnesota to Maude and J M Demmon. He received his education in Staples public schools, graduating in 1960. On July 7, 1962 he married his high school sweetheart, Karen Colman, at the Methodist Church in Staples, MN. They lived in Chicago for one year then returned to Staples for a year. He began working for Prestige Products in 1966 and retired after working for them for 45 years. They moved to the Isanti area in 1977 and raised their four children there.
Buzz was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa. He loved to be part of his children and grandchildren’s lives. Buzz and Karen loved to travel to visit them whenever they were able. Buzz and Karen also enjoyed their special trips throughout the United States and Mexico, traveling and visiting with friends. Buzz enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends playing cards or sitting around a camp fire. Family and friends were important to Buzz and all who knew him knew that.
Those blessed and thankful to have shared Buzz’s life are his loving wife Karen Demmon of Isanti; four children, Paula Demmon Bailey of Ashland, OH, Craig and his wife Leslie of Denver, CO, Tad and his wife Danielle of Isanti, MN and Ona Demmon Braaten of Oak Grove, MN; grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan Robinson, Geoffrey Bailey, Ryan and Nicole Braaten, Andrew and Shelby Braaten, Jacob Braaten and Tyler Braaten, Conrad Demmon, and Aidan Demmon; great-grandchildren, Emma Robinson and Eli Braaten.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
