Julie Mae Tipp was born on June 15, 1961 in Fort Dodge, Iowa at St. Joseph’s Hospital, to Elden and Dorothy Tipp. Julie was the 5th child for them.
Julie attended Braham School, and would have graduated in 1979. She gave birth to a son, Bryan, on January 5, 1979. Julie had a son, Jeremy, who was born March 18, 1980, and was united in Marriage to Jon Weidenaar on July 9, 1983 at Grasston, MN.
Julie and Jon moved to Hilliard, FL, to be near Jon’s parents, Calla and Elkie Weidenaar. They were very close and had many good times. They gave birth to a child, Joe Weidenaar, on June 9, 1984.
Julie worked as a medical assistant for Nassau County Health Department, and subsequently as a phlebotomist for the Florida Department of Health.
Julie and Jon enjoyed gardening, motorcycling, the ocean and the warmth of Florida. Julie was a loving, fun, caring person, very dedicated to her family, her work and her flowers.
Julie passed away suddenly on February 20, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jon, her son, Jeremy, her sister Pamela, her parents and grandparents and mother-in-law, Calla Weidenaar.
She is survived by her son, Bryan Pfaff, of Minneapolis, son Joe (Holly) Weidenaar of Hilliard, son Samuel (Alesha) Erven of Grand Rapids, MN, step-daughters Jessica Edwards of St. Cloud, MN and Jackie Hubbart of Elk River, MN; her father-in-law, Elkie Weidenaar, of Cambridge; sister Bonnie (Jim) Keller of Eveleth, MN; sister Paula (Curtis) Thompson of Cherry, MN; Brother Bob (Sandy) Tipp of Mora, MN; brother Jon (Deborah) Tipp of Kalkaska, Ml; brother James Tipp of Dallas, TX; Brother-in-law Bill (Sherry) Weidenaar, Hilliard, FL; sisters-in-law Teresa Hasbrook, Rush City, MN; Becky Anderson of Braham, Carol Brandt of Omaha, NE, numerous relatives and friends.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, August 6 at Sidelines in Cambridge, MN from 4-8pm.
