Odell K. Lundebrek, age 86, went to be with the Lord, July 10, 2016.His ashes will be laid to rest, September 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. Funeral Services will be held at East Zion Lutheran Church, at 28745 County Rd 10, Starbuck, Minnesota, 56381. Odell was born to Olaf and Gydia Lundebrek in Starbuck, Minnesota. He was raised on a farm with four brothers.
He joined and proudly served the Army in the Korean War stringing communication lines. He was discharged as a Corporal and received two small bronze stars for his valor in service.
He worked as a supervisor at Minnesota Rubber, where he met and then married Edna, the love of his life.
Odell attended welding school and made this his passion. He was hired as a welder with Arrow Tank and Engineering, Cambridge, MN. He later went back to school to become a Welding Inspector for Arrow and continued to work there for 37 years.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, travel, bowling and woodworking.
He and his wife Edna of 55 years first lived in Hopkins, MN, then moved to Cambridge, MN in 1974. They later moved to Apache Junction, AZ in 1996. In 2012, they both moved to Tennessee to be with their daughter Linda and her husband Bill, where Edna and Odell lived, until their passing.
He is survived by: his children, son, Wesley; daughters, Pamela (Greg Schultz), Susan (Thomas Skarupa), Linda (Bill Everage); five grandchildren, Brandon, Alyson (Pam), Caitlin, Cameron, and Mitchell (Linda); five great-grandchildren, Mila, Elliott (Brandon), Nolan, Lillian (Alyson) and Clarke Elizabeth (Caitlin) and many cousins, nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna; his parents, Olaf and Gydia; brothers, George, Arnold, Richard and Maynard.
He was well loved, and will be dearly missed.
