Lucile Jeanette Tooker

Lucile Jeanette Tooker, 96, of Cambridge, formerly of Aitkin, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West.
She was born Sept. 24, 1917 in Decorah, Iowa to Peter and Anna Thoman. In 1936 Lucile was united in marriage to Emmett Tooker and together they had five children. Lucile spent her life as a homemaker. She was a loving and giving person all through her years. Her kindness was rewarded by receiving the 2006 Lifetime Service Award from Grandview Christian Ministries for volunteering over 5,000 hours. This accomplishment was very special to her as well as her family. Lucile was able to make a friend anywhere she went. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with family and friends. Lucile loved being busy with arts and crafts, which she shared with others. She enjoyed fashion and will always be remembered by her bright lipstick.
Lucile was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church of Cambridge until she became a resident of GracePointe Crossing Gables West.
She is survived by three children, Jan (Lloyd) Schubich of Minneapolis, Earl (Julie) Tooker of Cambridge and George (Lucy) Tooker of Cedar; seven grandchildren, Wally, Leesa, Rick, Darcy, Brandon, Dan and Lori-Sue; and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Emmett; children, Steven and Mary; and grandson Kip Tooker.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held November 27, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Officiant was Father Don Wagner. Interment was in the St. Thomas Cemetery in Aitkin, Minn. Arrangements are with the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Cambridge.
