Julie Jenine DeGreeff, 55, of Cambridge passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born Jan. 6, 1958 in Mankato, Minn. to William Harvey and Jenine (Bagley) Molohon. The family lived a few years in Mankato before moving to Prior Lake. Julie attended school and graduated from Prior Lake High School in 1976.
In 1977 she moved to Cambridge and began working at the Cambridge State Hospital. While in Cambridge she met Ben DeGreeff and they were married Nov. 19, 1977 at Christ The King Catholic Church.
Julie and Ben made their home in Cambridge and raised their son Adam and daughter Laura. Julie also worked at Anderson Drug, Econo Foods, School District #911 and East Central Regional Library. In 2011 she was forced to retire due to her declining health.
Julie enjoyed scrapbooking, baking, and was very passionate with reading books and spent a lot of time making use of the regional library. She liked the yearly vacation spent at the cabin on Horseshoe Lake near Richmond, Minn. Julie also liked to ride bike, go on walks, and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Margaret and Herman Molohon, Myrtle Heller and John Bagley. Julie is survived by her husband Ben of Cambridge, son Adam DeGreeff of Isanti, daughter Laura and husband Micah Byers of Ham Lake, four grandchildren Jaden Deal, Dillon DeGreeff, Elsja and Evelyn Byers, and one more grandchild due in January, parents Harvey and Jenine Molohon of Southern Pines, N.C., sisters Gail Molohon of Lakeville, Susan and husband Tory Wright of Seven Lakes, N.C., brother David and wife Mary Molohon of Faribault, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service was held Monday, December 2, 2013 at Spirit River Community Church in Isanti with Pastor Jim Crecelius officiating. Arrangements were with the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Cambridge.
