
William Leo Mayer, age 81, passed away on July 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Little Falls and grew up in Side Lake. He raised his family in Braham before retiring in Cambridge. He worked as a maintenance technician and retired from East Central Electric. After retirement, he drove school bus. He was known for his humor and was loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark; his parents, Leo and Augusta; and his siblings, Ray, Victor, Rita, Robert, and Donald.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, MilaAnn; his daughters, Mary (Mike) Lundgren and Mona (Kevin) Bettencourt; his sisters, Helen Ray and Dorothy (Monte) Gross; his grandchildren Nicholas, Derrick, Bonnie, Mason, Eden, Kenzie and Kelden; his great-grandchildren, Ruby and Billy, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 10:30 am, with gathering one hour prior at:
