Rodney Paxton, 51, of Isanti, formerly of Mora, passed away July 22, 2013 in Isanti
He was born Sept. 6, 1961 in Mora Minn. to parents Charles and Patsy (Cashman) Paxton. He attended South High and Mora High School. In 1981, he joined the Navy and spent the next 6 years serving his country.
Rodney was a hard working person but always had time to stop what he was doing to help a friend or stranger, no matter how strange they were. He always had a project going or one in mind. He was a jokester and never happier than when he could tell a good joke or get someone with a sarcastic remark. His love of life was motorcycles, snowmobiles or anything fast and was dangerous. If anyone mentioned the Casino, he was ready to go. But he never lost more than $10.00.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, three Aunts and four Uncles.
He is survived by his parents, special friend Linda Nordrum, one daughter Kari Ammerman, three sons Brian Paxton (Missy Nelson), Lucas Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, five grandchildren, Brandon Arneson, Zachary Paxton, Jesse McEachern, Baily Ammerman, Torrie Arneson, one brother, Troy Paxton, two sisters, Teresa (Elbert) Lamb, Melanie Paxton, several aunts and uncles nieces and nephews and many good friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home, Mora, Minn. Casketbearers were Brian Paxton, Jeff Paulson, Allan Paulson, Troy Paxton, Cody Paxton and Charles Paxton. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery, Mora, Minn. Military Honors by American Legion Post 201. Arrangements by Dresser-Methven Funeral home, Mora, Minn.
